การพัฒนาวิธีการประเมินคุณภาพข้าวเปลือกชื้นภายใต้ระบบตรวจสอบคุณภาพ Thai Agricultural

Development on quality evaluation methodology of moist paddy aimed to develop rapid and accurated technologies for moist paddy quality evaluation was comprised of 3 activities, as 1. Comparative of moist paddy in various levels of impurities. 2. Comparison of milling recovery rate in brown rice and milled rice. 3. Development on rapid milling recovery testing methodology. The moist paddy from Phitsanulok, Phichit, Sukhothai, Kamphangphet and Uttaradit farmer field were sampled. The sample no.1-63 were harvested from June to early October,2009. The sample no. 64–107 and 108–170 were harvested from late October 2009 to January 2010 and March to July 2010. The moisture content was investigated with moisture tester, Kett PM-400, and oven method, 130 o C 2 hrs....

การสำรวจแมลงศัตรูข้าวในโรงเก็บเขตภาคเหนือตอนบน Thai Agricultural

Survey of rice stored pest in The Upper Northern part of Thailand was done in 3 agricultural cooperatives (Nongmuongkai, Maejai and Chiangsaen) using food trap during December 2011 – November 2012. The results showed that 25 stored rice insect pest were found (18 important insect pests and 7 natural enemies). At Nongmoungkai, the important insect pests were Liposcelis spp., Lophocateres pusillus, Sitophillus oryzae and Ceyptolestes pusillus were found with the survey number of 2, 206, 580, 365 and 108 respectively. The natural enemies Xylocoris flavipes was found with the number of 225. At Maejai, the important insect pests were S. oryzae, L. pusillus, L. spp., Rhyzoopertha dominica C. pusillus and Oryzaephilus surinamensis found with the survey number of...

Climate change has an impact on rice yield and quality. Heat highly affects rice during flowering stage, as during the stage rice is extremely sensitive to temperature environment. It has been reported that, different rice variety was affected by temperature differently. For Asian country, the highest temperature during the day in summer was about 35 to 41oC or higher resulting in heat intolerance in rice that causes the high percentage of unfilled grain. Heat is also the major cause of cracked-grain leading to the higher number of broken milled rice after milling.
